rockITdata is seeking a Senior Technology Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of large-scale Federal Health programs. This candidate will leverage deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and proven program management skills to ensure seamless execution and robust performance of critical healthcare IT modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and eager to foster long-term relationships that drive both project success and business growth.

This role is hybrid and expected to be onsite in Arlington, Virginia 3-4 times a week.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct large-scale technology deployments for federal healthcare programs, ensuring timely delivery, quality execution, and compliance with stringent government security standards. 
  • Collaborate directly with federal clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to develop and execute strategic technology roadmaps aligned to mission-critical objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CMMC), compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to project managers, technical leads, and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage program budgets, resource allocation, risk management, and vendor relationships.
  • Provide executive-level communications, reporting, and presentations to senior government leadership and internal executives. 

Required Qualifications  

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 8 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex programs within federal health or related government agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning, adaptability, and innovation.
  • Proven track record managing programs in compliance with federal security and regulatory frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, HIPAA). 
  • Experience directly engaging with and advising senior government stakeholders. 
  • Ability to obtain at least a public trust security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications  

  • PMP Certification or similar program/project management credentials.
  • Familiarity with Healthcare IT standards and interoperability frameworks such as FHIR, HL7, or ONC mandates.
  • Prior experience successfully leading multi-vendor, multi-team collaborations in federally secured environments.
